Magma Towers is considered by architecture specialists as one of the most beautiful buildings on the planet, as certified by the 2014 A+Award from Architizer, a program that distinguishes the best architectural products of the year. The building, which began construction in 2010 and was completed in 2013, is located in the Mexican city of Monterrey, the capital of the state of Nuevo León.
The two impressive towers, one 24 levels and the other 20, have various apartment configurations, allowing the facades to have a cutting-edge design, thus highlighting modern architecture with incredible city views.
Thanks to its modern design, which also includes a shopping center that connects both towers, the firm that developed the project required a versatile, efficient, and superior quality water heating system.
To meet this need, the decision was made to install 29 Tempra water heaters, 5 Tempra Plus, and 10 units of the DHC-E 12 model, all from the German company Stiebel Eltron, a world leader in the production of tankless electric water heaters.
The Tempra, Tempra Plus, and DHC-E 12 are modern tankless devices, small in size but with powerful performance.
The instant water heater Tempra, one of the best-selling in the global market, features an innovative design that combines durability and 99% energy efficiency with a modern temperature control system.
The Tempra Plus has the same characteristics as the Tempra, but adds the "Advanced Flow Control," an exclusive feature of Stiebel Eltron that allows it to maintain the water temperature regardless of the number of faucets opened simultaneously, unlike other water heaters.
The DHC-E 12 tankless water heater is a compact device that is easy and quick to install and capable of operating even when there is low water pressure. Efficient, durable, and of high quality, it can be installed without any additional protection in earthquake-prone areas, such as Mexico.
The installation of these modern water heaters has helped reinforce the image of Magma Towers as an exceptionally innovative structure with a futuristic design, recognized as unique on the planet.
This architectural complex has won several awards, including the first prize at the XVII Biennial of Architecture of Nuevo León, the Public Choice Award in the high-rise building category of the A+ Awards from Architizer, the Iconic Awards in the architecture category, the International Property Awards in the high-rise residential buildings category, and was also a finalist at the World Architecture Festival in the Multifamily Housing category in 2014.
